Accessibility

For persons living with a spinal cord injury, accessibility is key to successful community reintegration and vitally important for overall life satisfaction.

Although not all public buildings are wheelchair-friendly, more buildings and facilities are becoming accessible in recent times.

Government offices and public facilities, such as parks, sports stadiums, cinema halls, and museums, among others, have laid ramps for easy access.

Public transportation also has structural barriers, especially inaccessible railway platforms, steps and stairs, difficult seating arrangements, and so forth.

However, different transportation modes are including several accessible features.
