Housing

Housing for people with spinal cord injury is essential for independence, supporting health, and improving occupational performance

When spinal injured persons design their houses in certain ways, they can lead an independent life without support.

For instance, they have to include ramps to enter their homes.

Make their bathrooms wheel-chair friendly with wider doors, matt-flooring, and so forth.

They can also arrange electrical switches at wheelchair levels and near their beds.

Kitchen platforms and sinks can also be designed in such a way to enable spinal injured persons to cook for themselves.
